Dino¶
Player: Josie. Half-orc monk. Level 2. Background: Folk Hero.
There is no monk subclass at level 2. In 2014 5e, Monastic Tradition is chosen at level 3. What she did get at 2:
- Ki (Flurry of Blows, Patient Defense, Step of the Wind)
- Unarmored Movement (+10 ft)
Concept¶
A skittish, shy half-orc monk, unsure of her blood heritage, going to the fighting festival to measure her own strength and get past that skittishness. Folk Hero means someone already thinks she stood up for ordinary people, even if she does not feel like a hero.
Personality¶
Skittish. Shy. Unsure of her orcish blood. The festival (and the mine, now) are the pressure that might change that.
Why she was on the caravan¶
Prove her strength. Get over being skittish. The festival is a public test.
Connections¶
| Who / what | Relationship | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| The party | Strangers until the mine | Forced together when the entrance closed |
| Orcish heritage | Unsure / uneasy | No clan or parent names recorded yet |
| The fighting festival | Destination | A place to test herself |
| Folk Hero reputation | Background | The defining deed is not recorded yet |
| Lori | "My child" (for fun) | Copies Layrissa |
Notes¶
- Started at level 1. Dinged to 2 after escaping the mine (session 2). Ki and Unarmored Movement come online at this ding.
- Subclass still open for level 3.
- Background: Folk Hero. What she did, and who still tells that story, is still open.
